Oakland Community College (NU)

4000 Whiting Dr, Midland, MI

Oakland Community College (OCC), located in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan, is the largest community college in the state.  OCC offers more than 100 two-year associate's degrees, and 45 one-year certificates, and has one of the highest transfer rates among all of the 28 community colleges in Michigan.

OCC has excellent programs in English as a Second Language, Workforce Development, and Nursing. A full 100% of OCC's nursing graduates pass the states licensing exam.  The Workforce Development programs at OCC include degree and certificate programs that are designed to prepare students for immediate employment upon graduation. While many careers require a higher-level education, not all careers require a bachelor's degree.  OCC's programs are career-focused so that students who earn an associate's degree or professional certificate are prepared for their chosen career.

These centers are run by trained caregivers and provide interactive care for small children while their parents are attending classes. Fees and schedules for childcare vary slightly at each campus; so interested students should contact the campus of their choice for details.
