Nursing Program

The nursing program at Olympic College prepares students for careers in hospitals, convalescent centers, clinics, home care, and physician's offices. The program focuses on knowledge, techniques and procedures for promoting health, providing care for the sick, disabled, infirmed, or other individuals or groups. Program courses include: administration of medication and treatments, assisting and physician during treatments and examinations, referring patients to physicians and other health care specialists, and planning education for health maintenance. Olympic College, with campuses in Bremerton, Poulsbo, and Shelton, reaches the Kitsap and Mason county areas to bring in nearly 13,000 students each year.

OC has three convenient campuses consisting of a 33-acre campus in Bremerton, a 20-acre campus in Poulsbo, and a 27-acre campus in Shelton, making OC easily accessible for the Kitsap peninsula and surrounding areas.

Olympic College athletics program offers men and women’s basketball, volleyball, track and field, soccer, golf, and cross country. There is also a men’s baseball team available to male students and a women’s softball team available to female students.

For Washington state residents, the cost to attend Olympic College is $107.00 per credit hour. The cost for out-of-state residents is $120.00 per credit hour. International students may also attend OC for the cost of $279.00 per credit hour.

Olympic College offers students the opportunity to earn five various associate’s degrees as well as a wide array of technical certificates and licensures.

OC also offers assistance programs for students who are in need of help. Their program, titled SING, helps needy students by giving them the necessary resources to find affordable housing, food, and childcare for their families.

Olympic college also touts a special program that benefits military veterans and their families. In an effort to help veterans proceed with life after the military, OC offers tuition assistance, program placement assistance, and distance learning programs for those who wish to pursue higher education.
