Property Management Courses

The property management program at Parkland College prepares students for a career as a personal property professional, bookkeeper, clerical assistant, and more. The program focuses on applying technical knowledge and skills to keep a building functioning, and to service a variety of structures including commercial and industrial buildings and mobile homes. Parkland College

In the northwest corner of Champaign, Illinois, you will find Parkland College, a two-year community college with an approximate enrollment of 18,000 students. Its stated mission is “to engage the community in learning,” a watchword that is more than just talk. The school’s Center for Academic Success (CAS) was conceived specifically to foster student success, offering instruction in study skills, math, pre-college level studies, writing, and more.

Parkland’s cultural center doubles as a theater for performing arts and planetarium, providing students and community with cultural enrichment. The school also boasts a FM radio station, student-run newspaper, and a cable channel that airs classical and educational programs. Over 40 extracurricular clubs and activities offer students diversion from their studies. There’s something for everyone, whether their interests lie in academic, cultural, or social pursuits.

Tuition rates are an attractive feature of a Parkland education. In-state tuition costs are thousands of dollars below the average college/university tuition rates. Parkland College admits students on an open admissions basis; as long as enrollment caps have not been met, graduates of accredited high schools, individuals with a GED, and those 18 and over who could benefit from a post-secondary education will be accepted.

Duties may involve pipe fitting; boiler making; insulating; welding; machining; carpentry; repairing electrical or mechanical equipment; installing, aligning, and balancing new equipment; and repairing buildings, floors, or stairs.
