Its stated mission is “to engage the community in learning,” a watchword that is more than just talk. The school’s Center for Academic Success (CAS) was conceived specifically to foster student success, offering instruction in study skills, math, pre-college level studies, writing, and more.
Parkland’s cultural center doubles as a theater for performing arts and planetarium, providing students and community with cultural enrichment. The school also boasts a FM radio station, student-run newspaper, and a cable channel that airs classical and educational programs. Over 40 extracurricular clubs and activities offer students diversion from their studies. There’s something for everyone, whether their interests lie in academic, cultural, or social pursuits.
Tuition rates are an attractive feature of a Parkland education. In-state tuition costs are thousands of dollars below the average college/university tuition rates.
