Carpentry Courses

The carpentry program at Peninsula College prepares students for careers working as carpenters for manufacturing firms, government agencies, retail establishments, and other industries. The program focuses on applying technical knowledge and skills to lay out, cut, fabricate, erect, install, and repair wooden structures and fixtures, using hand and power tools. Program courses include: technical mathematics, framing, construction materials and selection, job estimating, blueprint reading, foundations and roughing-in, finishing carpentry techniques, and codes and standards. Peninsula College, located in Port Angeles, Washington, is a public college that is made up of about 6,000 enrolled students.
