Piedmont Virginia Community College, located in Charlottesville, Virginia, was founded in 1972 and is one of the 23 institutions that comprise the Virginia Community College System. Academics
Piedmont Virginia Community College offers a variety of programs, allowing students to follow the career training or academic transfer track that best fits their needs. Admissions and Financial Aid
Individuals interested in enrollment at Piedmont Virginia Community College may do so through the school's open enrollment policy that requires individuals to be 18 years of age or have a high school diploma or GED. Description
Perform any or all of the following functions in the manufacture of electronic semiconductors: load semiconductor material into furnace; saw formed ingots into segments; load individual segment into crystal growing chamber and monitor controls; locate crystal axis in ingot using x-ray equipment and saw ingots into wafers; and clean, polish, and load wafers into series of special purpose furnaces, chemical baths, and equipment used to form circuitry and change conductive properties.
