Academics
Richland College offers a large number of programs to provide academic or career opportunities to students. These programs allow students to choose which program best suits their goals. Academic transfer programs complete the first two years of a four year education at low cost.

Students who complete such a program will apply to a four year institution to continue their education and earn their bachelor's degree. As colleges and universities have varying requirements for admission, students should meet with a counselor to outline a curriculum that best meets the requirements of their desired school or schools of transfer.

Career and technical programs prepare students for entry into the workforce through training and skill development. Such programs result in a an associate degree or certificate and take between one and two years to complete. Students enrolled in a career program will obtain practical experience alongside a traditional classroom education, and upon completion will be able to apply for an entry level position as a qualified professional.

Programs offered include:

Additionally, the school offers courses for professionals wishing to upgrade or add to their skill sets for use in the workplace. These courses may be taken without need for full enrollment at the school.

Admissions and Financial Aid
Richland College is an open enrollment institution, admitting all students who meet the minimum requirements for admission. Students should supply transcripts and standardized test scores in order to assist in financial aid procedure and course placement. Students are encouraged to apply online, though they may submit a physical copy of the application on campus.

Once enrolled, students are encouraged to participate in orientation and meet with an advisor to plan one's curriculum. Registration takes place shortly before the start of each semester.

Financial aid is available in the form of loans, grants, scholarships, and work study programs. Students requiring financial assistance must complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), the resulting student aid report (SAR) from which will be used to determine financial need, program eligibility, and monetary awards.
