Robeson Community College, located in Lumberton, North Carolina, was founded in 1965 as an extension of Fayetteville Technical Institute. The school became independent three years later, and has been serving the community ever since.
Over the years RCC has expanded its campus and outlying facilities, continually upgrading an evolving to help serve the needs of the community, expanding the resources and services available to students and residents. The school is dedicated to the community, playing a prominent role in its social, cultural and educational development.
Academics
Robeson Community College offers a variety of programs that result in a degree, certificate or diploma. The school provides vocational and technical training alongside transfer opportunities to four year institutions. RCC is constantly improving its offerings, refining its techniques, and offering the best education possible for its students.
Vocationally-rooted degree programs allow students to develop the skills and knowledge necessary to enter the workforce as professionals. Such programs take between one and two years to complete and result in an associate degree or certificate which demonstrates competency in the field of study and allows for employment after graduation. Academic transfer is accomplished by completing the first two years of a four year education at RCC, followed by applying for transfer to a four year college or university to complete the bachelor's degree.

Admissions and Financial Aid
Students interested in enrolling at Robeson Community College must complete and submit the admissions application, have all transcripts (high school, college, GED) sent to the admissions office, schedule and take a placement exam, and meet with a counselor for a program interview.
Financial aid is available to eligible students in the form of loans, grants and scholarships.
