Salem Community College, located in Carneys Point, New Jersey, was founded in 1958 when it when it was known as Salem County Technical Institute. The school serves Salem County, and has three satellite locations in addition to the main compass that specialize in particular programs. As the school is committed to academic excellence, it provides a two year education on par with more expensive private institutions.
Academics
Salem Community College offers over 50 programs of study that award either an associate's degree or certificate upon completion. The school provides students with transfer and career opportunities depending on the plans of the student. Additionally the school houses the county's One-Stop Career Center.
