Carpentry Courses

The carpentry program at San Juan College prepares students for careers working as carpenters for manufacturing firms, government agencies, retail establishments, and other industries. The program focuses on applying technical knowledge and skills to lay out, cut, fabricate, erect, install, and repair wooden structures and fixtures, using hand and power tools. Program courses include: technical mathematics, framing, construction materials and selection, job estimating, blueprint reading, foundations and roughing-in, finishing carpentry techniques, and codes and standards. San Juan College (SJC)

The main campus of San Juan College is located on the north side of Farmington, New Mexico, consisting of 15 main campus buildings and five off-site facilities.
