Snow College

If you fancy yourself a bit of an American history buff, then Snow College in Ephraim, Utah can provide you with some interesting trivia. Founded in 1888 by members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, the school went through many changes, as you can well imagine, including three changes to its name.
First founded as Sanpete Stake Academy, it eventually evolved to Snow Normal College, then Snow Junior College, until 1931 when they finally settled on Snow College. Eventually, the Church bid farewell, and Snow College became a state supported institution.
Although Snow College does offer many programs of study, it is well known for its division of Fine Arts, Communications and New Media programs. This includes art, dance and music. Snow College has established itself has one of the best institutions to offer education in the arts, music and sports in Utah.
Snow College is a smaller sized college and there are currently just over 4300 students enrolled. Many find the size beneficial; along with smaller classes that provides better one-on-one interaction with teachers.
