As a National Indian Community College, Southwestern Indian Polytechnic Institute primarily serves the Native American students. Its campus is located at 9169 Coors Blvd. NW, Albuquerque, New Mexico 87120 at the center of the Indian County.
In partnership with tribes, employers and organizations, this institution focus on Indian education and it is dedicated to helping the students succeed in an increasingly complex global environment. Despite its small size, SIPI offers a lot of academic opportunities specifically in the field of science, technology, engineering, and teaching, early childhood, natural resources, culinary arts and vision care.
This institution has four divisions: Advanced Technical Education (ATE), Liberal Arts and Technical Education, Developmental Education and Distance Learning. The ATE programs designed to provide academic foundation for the first two years of college prior to transferring to four-year institutions. On the other hand, Liberal Arts and Business Education are intended for students who wish to enter the workforce immediately after graduation in the areas of Accounting, Business Administration, Liberal Arts, and Early Childhood Education.
