The medical assistant program at Southwestern Michigan College prepares students for careers as a medical assistant, clinical medical assistant, specialized medical assistant, medical receptionist, front office administration, clinical supervisor, medical office manager, and health services manager. The program focuses on providing medical office administrative services and performing clinical duties. Perform administrative and certain clinical duties under the direction of a physician.
