About
University of Arkansas Community College - Hope, located in Hope, Arkansas, was founded in 1965 and was originally known as Red River Vocational-Technical School. The school grew in size and facilities, renaming itself Red River Technical College in 1991 to better reflect its development, programs, and services.
By 1996 the school was added into the University of Arkansas System as part of its mission to consolidate publicly funded institutions, renaming the school by giving it its current name. The school maintains an beautiful campus with modern facilities to ensure it meets the needs of the modern student and community.
Academics
University of Arkansas Community College - Hope offers students a variety of programs resulting in a certificate or degree, and allowing students to choose the academic or technical tract that best suits their future plans and goals. Academic programs facilitate transfer to a four year university by allowing the accumulation of credits equivalent to the first two years of a bachelors degree.
Once completed students may apply for transfer to a four year institution to complete their degree. Technical programs prepare students by training them with the skills and abilities necessary to enter the workforce in their field of study. Programs take between one and two years to complete, allowing them to find work at the entry level immediately after graduation.
