Washington County Community College is one of the seven community colleges mandated by the Maine Community College. The campus is 400 acres wide with modern classrooms, labs and buildings located in Calais, a rural area within the boundaries of the United States and Canada.

Offering 24 programs of study at the associate degree, diploma and certificate levels, WCCC caters to students who wish to pursue a career after graduation, as well as to those who aspire to continue studying in another college or university. This school also offers online courses for students who prefer distance education with a more flexible schedule.

WCCC aims to equip vocational students with the necessary general knowledge and technical skills to jumpstart a career in various fields. On the other hand, the school’s Liberal Studies program provides students the opportunity to earn two years baccalaureate credential as groundwork for higher education. This program is offered with a flexible schedule during the day, in the evening and even online.Upon finishing the program, WCCC assist students in transferring to several four-year institutions of choice across the state with the AdvantageU partnership agreement.
