Nursing Program
The nursing program at AmeriTech College – Draper prepares students for careers in hospitals, convalescent centers, clinics, home care, and physician's offices. The program focuses on knowledge, techniques and procedures for promoting health, providing care for the sick, disabled, infirmed, or other individuals or groups. Ameritech College was founded in Provo Utah in 1979 and now operates out of Draper Utah. The school expanded its student outreach substantially by adding online educational opportunities. Today Ameritech College offers a multitude of health career training and education opportunities, including:

The 45 week long Dental Assistant program culminates with a Diploma from AmeriTech College and a Utah State Dental Radiographic Certificate. Graduates of the Surgical Technologist Program, the Medical Assistant Program, the Health Care Office Specialist Program, and the Personal Fitness Trainer Program receive diplomas from Ameritech.
Graduates of the Medical Billing and Coding Program receive an AAS and can take two different national certification exams upon graduation -- the American Academy of Professional Coders (AAPC) examination for Certified Professional Coders (CPC); and the American Health & Information Management Association (AHIMA) examination for Certified Coder Specialists (CCS).
The College’s Nursing Program offers both Associate of Applied Sciences Degrees in Nursing and Bachelor of Science Degrees in Nursing. Clinical experience begins with a robotic “human simulator” allowing safe and stress-free practice before dealing with human patients. The RN to BSN program is ideally suited to working nurses as classes are now fully online. For the 2012 academic year Ameritech Graduates handily surpassed the national average pass rate on the NCLEX-RN (National Council Licensure Examination for Registered Nurses) of 90.34%, achieving the best pass rate in the history of Ameritech College with a 96.85%.
