Dental Assistant Program

The dental assistant program at ATA College prepares students for a career in a dental office, dental supply manufacturer, hospital dental department, or insurance company. The program focuses on preparing patients and equipment for dental procedures, and office administrative functions. Program courses include: medical record-keeping, general office duties, reception and patient intake, scheduling, equipment maintenance and sterilization, basic radiography, pre and post-operative patient care and instruction, chairside assisting, taking tooth and mouth impressions, and supervised practice. ATA College

ATA College, located in Louisville, Kentucky, began operation in 1993 offering courses and programs in computer technology. The school decided to cease offering computer technology programs in 2003, instead focusing on allied health programs which began in 2005.

ATA College currently offers several allied health profession programs, designed to meet the increasing demands of the health care industry. The school offers a quality education through student focused education.
