California Nurses Educational Institute (CNEI) is a Palm Springs, CA, based school that offers Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) and other certifications to the local community. Originally founded in 1976 as a continuing education resource for registered nurses, the original campus was located in Oakland, CA. In 1984, the institution moved Palm Springs and offers affordable vocational training to the Palm Springs community. The most recent addition to its program listing is the Clinical Healthcare Technician course, introduced in April 2013.
All programs at CNEI require a GED or a high school diploma as part of the eligibility criteria; in addition, those applying for the LVN and Psychiatric Technician programs will be required to clear an entrance test.
