Columbia College of Nursing (CCON or Columbia College) is a 113-year-old institution in Glendale, Wisconsin, and, since 1909 has been affiliated with Columbia Hospital. The school offers both Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) and Master of Science in Nursing (
CCON’s mission is to prepare competent and compassionate health care professionals whose distinguishing qualities include social justice, evidence-based practice, liberal arts education, safe patient care and clinical reasoning.
CCON regularly accepts undergraduate students who have completed general education curriculums from other accredited institutions and transfer their credits here for the BSN degree. The nursing program is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association of Schools and Colleges; the baccalaureate course is accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (
Columbia College is affiliated with Columbia St. Mary’s Health Systems, Lake College, University of Wisconsin-Waukesha and Mount Mary College.
The campus is located on Port Washington Rd. at Eastlake Towers, barely a few minutes away from downtown Milwaukee. Building facilities include an elevator, free Wi-Fi access, a cybercafé fully equipped with microwave, TV, refrigerators and vending machines, a student kitchenette and an ATM machine. The entire property, including parking lot, has been declared a no-smoking zone.
