Delta College Inc. is a private, for-profit career training college that accepts undergraduate students into one of 7 diploma or associate programs offered across four campuses. The college is dedicated to providing the finest of career training to all Louisiana residents and developing students with the personal and professional confidence to be successful in their careers.

One of the Covington campus’s most popular programs is the Practical Nurse program, which prepares graduates to sit for the Louisiana Practical Nursing Exam and gain subsequent licensure as LPNs. Another popular program is Medical Assisting, which covers the clinical and administrative roles and responsibilities of a medical assistant. However, by far the most lauded are the Dental Assistant and Massage Therapy programs, both of which are leaders in their respective disciplines.

As a private college operating on a for-profit basis, tuition is considerably more expensive than comparable colleges in similar socioeconomic environments. At $22,100 it can be made more affordable by financial aid for students who qualify. In 2012, the total amount of grant aid disbursed exceeded $1 million.

Each of the four campuses offers a specific suite of programs that may overlap with the programs of other campuses. However, certain campuses offer unique programs that others don’t; for example, only the Baton Rouge campus offers Business Office Administration and Graphic Design programs, while only the Covington campus offers Therapeutic Massage. The dental assisting, medical assisting, medical training and practical nursing programs are common to all campuses.
