Galen College of Nursing – Louisville

Galen College of Nursing was established in 1989 by Humana, one of the largest insurance providers at the time, to help combat a nationwide nursing shortage. In 1994 Galen became an independent educational institution due to the dissolution of the Humana Hospital System. Galen began with three locations in Louisville, KY, San Antonio, TX and Tampa Bay, FL and added the new Cincinnati, OH campus in 2007.
Galen College of Nursing offers an associate's degree in nursing (ADN). The school offers small class sizes and state of the art equipment to ensure that students have no obstacles to a quality education.
Admissions and Financial Aid
Students wishing to apply to Galen College of Nursing must be able to communicate in English effectively, have a high school diploma or GED, and must submit their ACT or SAT test score from the last five years. An equivalent exam, the PAX PN, is offered by the college for a non-refundable fee of $50.00, and practicing LPNs who have passed the PAX RN may be exempt. Students will fill out financial aid forms during the enrollment process, and will be contacted regarding eligibility. Enrollment and background check fees must be paid when the enrollment agreement is signed.
