Paralegal Program

The paralegal degree program at Northwest Career College teaches students to perform legal research, as well as drafting, investigatory record-keeping, and other administrative functions related to the legal system. Students who graduate the program will perform these functions under the supervision of an attorney or in a court and will gain instruction from the program in legal research, drafting legal documents, appraising, pleading, courthouse procedures, and other legal specializations. Formally Northwest Health Careers, Northwest Career College (NWCC) is located in the Las Vegas Technology Center, in Nevada. NWCC includes two massage clinics, two medical labs, and four dental operatories.

NWCC provides Career Services that includes resume assistance, mock interviews, and externship (on-the-job training) coordination to prepare the student for graduation. They believe the work experience coupled with professional skills will help get the student’s foot in the door of potential jobs.

With small class sizes and the ability to take either day or night classes, NWCC wants offer flexibility to their students to ensure the success of their learning experience. Instruction is a combination of lectures, laboratory practice, computer training, and simulated medical exams—providing the hands-on training that’s an important part of any medical office or hospital setting.
