Chiropractic Program

The chiropractic program at Palmer College of Chiropractic – Davenport prepares students for a career as a chiropractic practitioner, educator, researcher, fitness facility chiropractor, sports team chiropractor, hospital staff, or administrator. The program focuses on a health care and healing system based on the application of non-invasive treatments and spinal adjustments to alleviate health problems cause by vertebral misalignments. Program courses include: basic medical sciences, chiropractic theory and science, postural and spinal analysis, diagnostics radiology, adjustment technique, and professional standards and ethics. Are you ready to join of one of the fastest growing careers in the health care industry? Palmer College of Chiropractic estimates that demand for skilled chiropractors will grow by as much 28% by 2020! Palmer operates three campuses around the country in Davenport, Iowa; Port Orange, Florida; and San Jose, California.

Palmer College is the only school to offer a Master's of Science degree in Clinical Research. In addition, Palmer grants degrees for Doctor of Chiropractic and Associate of Science in Chiropractic Technology.

Palmer students receive hands-on experience working in several clinics operated by the school near their three campuses.

Students don't just learn about chiropractic, the Palmer Center for Business Development offers classes and workshops where students can learn about managing their careers. Palmer helps students from the very beginning of their chiropractic education, teaching the different career paths one can take with a degree from Palmer. Students and alumni are given access to Palmer CareerNetwork, a current listing of job openings.

Tuition costs around $100,000 for the entire length of the program, and financial aid is available to eligible students. Palmer is a private institution, and the Davenport, Iowa location is the first school of chiropractic in the world.

The Council on Chiropractic Education (CCE), requires students to have earned 90 semester hours with a 2.75/4.0 cumulative grade-point average for admission into a Doctor of Chiropractic program.
