The Professional Schools is situated at 737 South Sycamore Street in Petersburg, Virginia. The 39,000 square feet campus has 3 buildings. It has impressive facilities such as the clinical laboratories which have equipments and supplies that help develop expertise on “hands-on” competencies.
A pre-licensure, pre-certification education component of the Southside Regional Medical Center, it offers Professional, Medical Imaging Technology, Radiation Sciences/Radiologic Technology and Diagnostic Medical Sonography. Students are trained in student-centered classroom instructions, laboratory experiences, clinical rotations and service -oriented approach to health care. The academically-and clinically-prepared faculty further enrich learning through use of their theoretical and clinical expertise. The small class sizes, facilities and campus environment are closely replicated to the actual setting. These preparations are made to foster individual learning and excellence in practice.
