The Medical Arts School

2211 W Germann Road, Chandler, AZ

The Medical Arts School is a private vocational education institution offering sub-baccalaureate programs in Massage Therapy, Medical Assisting and Medical Office Administration. The outcome at graduation is a course completion certificate from a school that is accredited by the North Carolina Community College System.

The school was founded in 1996, and changed ownership 10 years later, when it was purchased by LTT Enterprises, the organization behind Gwinnett College. As such, Medical Arts School students have the advantage of being affiliated with a four-year college where they can choose to pursue higher education in their chosen fields of study.

The school is spread out over a spacious 10,700 square-foot floor space that includes classrooms, administrative offices, a computer lab, on-site clinic rooms and other facilities. The climate-controlled classrooms offer state-of-the-art equipment, and enrollment is limited to ensure that students get adequate attention from the instructor when learning technique. Classes that enroll more than 15 students are aided by teaching assistants.

Quarterly continuing education certificate courses are held in Reflexology, Chair Massage, Ethics and one review class for the Licensing Exam. The school also runs a massage clinic serviced by its students; the clinic offers full-body Swedish massages at $40 for a one-hour session.

Financial aid is available for those who qualify, and stats show that, of 188 undergraduate students enrolled in 2012, 95% received aid in the form of loans, grants and scholarships.
