About
Austin College, located in Sherman, Texas, was founded in 1841 and originally located in Huntsville, Texas. Over the years the school has gone through multiple iterations, locations changes, including becoming coeducation in 1829 through a merger with Texas Presbyterian College, a formerly all female institution. The school maintains a relationship with the Presbyterian Church and named after Stephen F. Austin, a historic figure in the State of Texas.

Academics
Austin College is a liberal arts college that provides a comprehensive four year education in a variety of majors. Students will take courses in the areas of general education, lower and upper division major courses, and a number of electives that allow for an expansion of a student's interests. Additionally student may pursue minor degrees that require additional courses and provide an additional specialization in a secondary area of study. Graduates will earn a bachelor's degree in their chosen area of study.

Students who wish to enroll at Austin College must submit an application, along with transcripts and test scores, which will then be reviewed by the school. An evaluation of the provided materials will take place, followed by a decision by the college regarding  enrollment.
