Physical Education Degree

The physical education program at Canisius College prepares students for careers teaching physical education in elementary, middle, or secondary school. The program focuses on planning and implementing a variety of developmentally appropriate instructional strategies to develop physically educated individuals, based on state and national standards. Canisius College was founded in 1870 in Buffalo, New York by the Society of Jesus and one of 28 Jesuit institutions in the nation.  Canisius College is a private four year institution that boasts modern facilities, small classroom sizes, and an educated and professional faculty. The Campus is 77 acres and houses 32 buildings, and provides students will all the resources necessary to obtain a good education.
