About
Concordia University, located in Moorhead, Minnesota, was founded in 1891. The school was established to assist in the development and maintenance of Norwegian culture among settlers who had come to the area ten years prior. The school was established with a Lutheran foundation, and is part of the University of Concordia System, a collection of ten schools that operate independently but share information and resources as well as the Concordia name. The school has grown since its establishment, but maintains its religious background and dedication to providing students to a quality education.
Academics
Concordia offers over 60 programs of study to ensure that enrolled students will pursue an education that meets their interests. These programs result in a four year degree and may be augmented through the addition of a minor. Additionally, study abroad programs and internships are available to broaden one's experience. The school boasts a 13 to 1 student to teacher ratio, allowing for a more personalized academic experience.
