About
Midland University, located in Fremont, Nebraska, was founded in 1883. The school formed in Atchison, Kansas through the Lutheran Church moving to Fremont in 1919. The school took over facilities left behind by previous schools, after which it merged with Luther Junior College as part of its growth. The school was formerly known as Midland Lutheran College, having changed its name in 2010. The term Midland was chosen due its centralized location in the United States.

Academics
Midland University offers a number of undergraduate majors, allowing students to choose the academic program that best suits their interests and needs. These programs typically take four years to complete, fulfilling general education requirements as set by the accrediting body and allowing students to take lower and upper division courses relating to their major. A limited number of master degree programs are also available, requiring a bachelor's degree as well as other academic criterion for admission.
