History

Monmouth University, Located in West Long Branch, New Jersey, was founded in 1933 as Monmouth Junior College. The school became Monmouth College in 1956, and finally Monmouth University in 1995. The school boasts a 15:1 student to teacher ratio, has over six thousand students in post-secondary and post-graduate programs, and over 73% of the faculty has PhDs. The school primarily serves students in the north eastern United States, but has students from 29 states and 28 countries.
