Athletic Training Degree
The athletic training program at Presentation College prepares students for a rewarding career in sports medicine as a certified athletic trainer. The program focuses on consultation with, and under the supervision of physicians to prevent and treat sports injuries and associated conditions. Program courses include: treatment of athletic injuries and illnesses, first aid and emergency care, therapeutic exercise, anatomy and physiology, kinesiology and biomechanics, nutrition, sports psychology, personal and community health, and applicable professional standards and regulations. Presentation College provides a variety of degree programs for students to guide them in their growth and development. The school is located in Aberdeen, South Dakota and operated as a private institution. The school maintains a Roman Catholic affiliation, which is evident in the role it plays in program curriculums and daily life at the school.
