Social Work Degree

The social work program at Texas College prepares students for careers as an adolescent specialist, child and family social worker, healthcare social worker, mental health and substance abuse social worker, and more. Texas College (TC)

Texas College is a nonprofit private historically black institution located in Tyler, Texas. Most historically black colleges and universities (also known as HBCUs) were founded after the civil war to provide newly freed African Americans with educational opportunities. The Christian Methodist Episcopal affiliation at the school is an important part of the history, education and mission that defines the school. The lower student/teacher ratio and access to faculty and teachers are due primarily to the smaller enrollment, around 930 students, maintained by Texas College.

Child, Family, and School Social Workers
