University of North Carolina at Greensboro (UNCG) is a public, urban institution of higher education located in the third largest city in North Carolina. UNCG is situated on a 357-acre campus that includes the Gateway University Research Park. UNCG offers more than 100 areas of study, and confers degrees at the undergraduate and graduate levels. There are more than 85 master's degree and doctoral programs available. UNCG also offers continuing education courses and classes online.

Student Life
There is on-campus housing available at UNCG, and there is a new initiative in progress to make green sustainability a priority in most of the residence halls. From recent renovations that target water consumption and water flow to recycling and thus use of environmentally friendly cleaning products, the campus is now considered "green."
Students at UNCG can choose to live in themed communities, where the focus is on living green, enjoying Greek Life or multiculturalism at International House. There are also Living Learning Communities, whereby students in residential colleges live together while enrolling in two or more common integrated courses. Students in a residential college are connected to faculty mentors and college traditions.
There are a variety of dining options available on campus, as well as a full calendar of activities and entertainment.
Traditions
The traditional school colors for the University of North Carolina at Greensboro are blue and gold, with white as an accent color. The school mascot is a Spartan (dressed as a Trojan-like warrior), and the athletic teams are nicknamed the Greensboro "Spartans."
