History
West Texas A & M University is a public four year institution in Canyon, Texas. Established in 1910, WTAMU has gone through name and location changes and has had its share of controversy, yet has maintained its educational standards throughout. WTAMU is a leader in distance education offering individual courses online as well as three undergrad and two graduate programs that can be completed fully online. The school joined the Texas A & M University System in 1990 and currently has approximately 7000 students enrolled.
