Cuyahoga Valley Career Center (CVCC)
1745 11th St, Portsmouth, OH
Cuyahoga Valley Career Center is a public learning institution which is located in Brecksville, Ohio. It has a great mission of imparting knowledge to the minds of all students who want to gain practical nursing skills at very affordable tuition rates. It offers both career programs and opportunities for adult education and thus meets the academic needs of many people in the field of nursing. One advantage is the fact that at CVCC, one is able to opt for part time studies or decide to go for the full time studies option, based on what suits the needs of the student.
Students have some time designated for theoretical class room studies, after which they are exposed to the real field of patients, mostly in the clinics, nursing homes and hospitals. Some of the health centers where students are sent to work at include St. Vincent Charity Hospital and Medina General Hospital. Cuyahoga Valley Career Center is one of the regional institutions that charges low rates of tuition; this is partly attributed to the fact that it is a public institution. However, students who still cannot pay the minimal fees charged have the option of connecting with the Career Center officials in the institute, for a payment program. An admission criterion is composed of first making an application, attaching transcripts, followed by an interview in form of entrance exam.
