All BOCES like the Cattaraugus-Allegany BOCES exist to provide cost effective sharing of educational support to its local students.
The CABOCES partners with 22 component school districts to meet the educational needs in the region. Its scope covers 2,159 square miles of Cattaraugus, Erie, Allegany, and Wyoming counties in southwestern New York. It has a broad range of programs which includes career and technical education, special education, adult and continuing education, and instructional support services.
And CABOCES takes pride in offering its Practical Nursing Program. It aims to produce knowledgeable and skilled Practical Nurse graduates. At completion, graduates receive a diploma and can apply for licensure.
This 2-year, 1,300-hour program prepares the student for the Licensed Practical Nursing practice in a variety of settings. You will learn nursing theory and patient care lab skills in the classroom as well as go through supervised clinical experience.
