Genesee Valley BOCES – Practical Nursing Program

The Genesee Valley Education Partnership School of Practical Nursing is a specialist educational institution that helps nursing graduates prepare for their licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse through the NCLEX-PN Examination.

The Genesee Valley Education Partnership believes that learning enriches life; that embracing diversity strengthens society; that quality relationships are borne of trust, openness, fairness, honesty and mutual respect; that growth can only come from accepting responsibility for actions and choices; and that everyone can contribute something.

The “Partnership”, as alumni affectionately call it, imparts various other forms of education as well, including career and technical education, special education and alternate education as part of their offerings. The partnership also offers a Nursing Assistant course, as well as GED testing and CDL training in their program listing, as part of their Adult Ed program.

The partnership operates two campus locations – in Mount Morris and Batavia. Both campus locations organize a variety of extracurricular activities that help students engage with the communities they serve, and teaches them social skills that complement their professional training.

The school is part of the NYS BOCES (New York State Boards of Cooperative Educational Services), which itself is a part of the 37-board group that facilitates efficiency, municipal sharing, equity and accountability for Statewide school districts. As such, they help alleviate the cost burden on taxpayers in the state, enabling schools like the Genesee Valley Education Partnership to operate effectively and efficiently.

The key mission objective of the partnership is to be a leader in creating quality solutions to emerging educational challenges.
