Wayne-Finger Lakes BOCES School of Practical Nursing, located in Newark, New York, offers residents of Ontario and Rochester counties the opportunity to study practical nursing. The  school is part of the Board of Cooperative Educational Services (BOCES) that provides career and educational services for 25 school districts and for the Counties of Ontario, Wayne, Yates and Seneca. The school is dedicated to providing residents of its service area access to career opportunities through short term, high quality training in the field of nursing.

Academics
Wayne-Finger Lakes BOCES School of Practical Nursing provides a short term, in depth education in nursing, that allows any individual who completes the program to enter employment as a practical nurse. The program takes approximately 1,200 hours to complete, and combines classroom study with laboratory work and clinical experience useful for perfecting methods and techniques used in the field. Graduates will be able to take the state licensure exam.

Any individual that is at least 18 years of age or has a high school diploma or equivalent and desires a career in nursing may enroll at Wayne-Finger Lakes BOCES School of Practical Nursing.
