Herkimer-Fulton-Hamilton-Otsego BOCES takes pride in its long tradition of offering more than 50 cooperative programs like the Practical Nurse program for the Mohawk Valley region in New York. Most of the programs are available at the William E. Busacker Complex in East Herkimer.

The Herkimer BOCES-Practical Nursing Program realize its students diverse ages and backgrounds thus it has an adaptive programming that reflects the needs of its students and its community.

Its program aims to give you the knowledge and practical skills valuable in the healthcare field and pass the PN NCLEX exam. You can expect a structured environment of classes and lab practice with emphasis on nursing process, critical thinking, theory application, and peer relations.

The Practical Nursing program is offered in full time and part time with both day and evening sessions. The tuition fee cost is about $10,000. You may avail financial aid through its sources like the PELL Grant, Federal Direct Loans (and Parents Plus Loan), Veterans Educations Benefits, Herkimer BOCES Dollars for Scholars, Workforce Investment Act (WIA) and others.

Among its facilities is the Regional Service Center which provides both instructional and non-instructional support. The non-instructional services include a central business office, cooperative purchasing, and health services management.
