Cape Cod Community College, located in West Barnstable, Massachusetts, was founded in 1961, the second of the 15 institutions that form the Massachusetts Community Colleges System. The school has multiple partnerships with nearby institutions in order to deliver education opportunities that extend beyond the two year degrees and programs offered by the school itself. These include Bridgewater State College, Boston University, Salem State University, and UMass Boston among others. The school is also known as CCCC as well as 4-Cs.

Academics
Cape Cod Community College offers a variety of programs that allows students to pursue four year education or career training. Academic transfer programs provide the first two years of a four year education, followed by transfer to a four year institution to continue one's education and earn a bachelor's degree. Students may also try to enroll on on-campus programs that provide the final two years through partnerships with one of several four year institutions. Career training and technical programs provide skills and education in high demand industries and fields with the intention of assisting the student to enter the workforce as a qualified professional. Programs take up to two years to complete and result in an associate degree or certificate upon completion.

CCCC is an open enrollment institution that allows any resident within its service area to enroll if they meet the age or education requirement, provide a completed application, and pay all fees. Students should also supply previous transcripts and test scores, as well as meet with a counselor prior to their first registration in order to discuss program enrollment and curriculum.Financial aid is available in the form of loans, grants and scholarships and is distributed based on need. Students must complete and submit the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), the information from which is used to determine need and aid eligibility.
