Agriculture Degree

The agriculture program at Ellsworth Community College prepares students to enter the farming, ranching, and agricultural business by combining research and hand-on training. Utilizing a combination of tools and knowledge, the program is designed to enhance and sustain human life by cultivating animals, plants, and other forms of food for basic consumption or for the creation of biofuels and drugs. Ellsworth Community College

Ellsworth Community College was founded in Iowa in 1890 as a private business academy. Over the years the school has seen many changes, including being coming a four years institution, music conservatory, and public junior college until it finally merged with the Iowa Valley Community College District.

ECC is the only Iowa Community College to rank in the top thirty by The Washington Monthly. The campus is situated along the Iowa River and is within walking distance of downtown Iowa Falls. The campus is scenic, a mix of historic and modern buildings and facilities surrounded by nature.

Academics
