Walters State Community College, located in Morristown, Tennessee, was founded 1970 through action by the Tennessee legislature to bring greater access to higher education to residents of the state. The school was named of United State Senator Herbert S. Walters, who represented Tennessee. The school serves 10 counties in East Tennessee through four campuses.
