California Nurses Educational Institute (CNEI) is a Palm Springs, CA, based school that offers Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) and other certifications to the local community. Its mission is to provide quality education that enables its graduates to find competitive jobs in the medical industry. Course options includes: Licensed Vocational Nurse, Certified Nurse Assistant, Home Health Aide, Phlebotomy, Clinical Healthcare Technician, and Psychiatric Technician.
Originally founded in 1976 as a continuing education resource for registered nurses, the original campus was located in Oakland, CA. In 1984, the institution moved Palm Springs and offers affordable vocational training to the Palm Springs community. The most recent addition to its program listing is the Clinical Healthcare Technician course, introduced in April 2013.
All programs at CNEI require a GED or a high school diploma as part of the eligibility criteria; in addition, those applying for the LVN and Psychiatric Technician programs will be required to clear an entrance test.
