Career Development Institute

125 W Mission Ave Ste 212, Escondido, CA

The Career Development Institute (CDI) School of Nursing is a premier family-owned-and-operated nursing school in Los Angeles, California, located at South Robertson Blvd. At CDI, students’ academic needs are carefully tailored and catered to; with small-size classes that allow for valuable one-on-one attention and free tutoring services, their goal is to graduate confident, skilled and knowledgeable students equipped to be successful nursing professionals.

CDI was founded in 1998 by Janis K. Newton, and offers a vocational nurse program that focuses on preparing for the NCLEX-PN Examination. Their graduates’ success rate in the exam over the past 11 quarters has been 100% - testament to their mission of encouraging and supporting their students to attain their professional goals within the nursing industry.

Apart from the VN program, the school also offers courses for Nursing Assistant, Home Health Aide and Restorative Nursing Assistant. In 2003, CDI became the first nursing school to have a mobile classroom approved for its students. This allowed the school to expand its reach within the community and to engage at closer quarters with its members.

Accolades abound for CDI, and include consecutive Recognition Award for Outstanding Performance for every year since the school opened its doors to students.

CDI is approved for financial aid in the form of grants and loans, as well as scholarships. In 2016, all 195 full-time undergraduates in various programs received assistance in the form of grants and scholarships.
