Since its inception in 1992, Marian Health Career Centers now, Marian College, has consistently produced successful students in the nursing field. In line with its mission to empower students with the education to thrive, this school provides strong academic foundation that enables their graduates to competitively fare in the allied health industry.
Marian College has two campuses in Los Angeles and Van Nuys. The latter is located at 5900 N. Sepulveda Boulevard, Suite 101, Van Nuys, California 91411 and it occupies 5,100 square feet of land consists of classrooms, skills laboratory, library and offices.
For students to be admitted in this college, they must submit a high school diploma from an accredited school and GED certification. Additionally, they must be at least 17 years old and must pass the entrance exam and personal interview.
This college offers a Vocational Nursing Program that provides both theoretical and practical nursing training to prepare students for a career in hospitals, clinics, physician's offices and health care facilities. Hands-on trainings are conducted in skills laboratories, but the bulk of the clinical training is acquired in affiliated clinical facilities. Computer-based training is also available to allow students to study on their own, as well as to prepare for the licensure exam with the NCLEX-PN study/review program.
After the completion of the Nursing Program, graduates can take the National Council Licensing Examination (NCLEX-PN). Graduates of this school has, in fact, achieved high passing rate over the past years. In addition to Vocational Nursing, Marian College provides CPR Classes, and Intravenous Therapy and Blood Withdrawal Certification Program. This school also offers career counseling for graduates wherein prospective employers are invited to orient them in the industry.
