About
Alliant International University has its main campus located in San Diego, California and was founded in 2001 through a merger between the United States International University and the California School of Professional Psychology. Both schools have histories in California, with the CSPP being the first school of psychology in the state. A recent acquisition of the San Francisco School of Law has expanded the school's offerings and locations. The school currently operates six campuses in California; San Diego, Fresno, San Francisco, Irvine, Sacramento, and Los Angeles, as well as three campuses internationally in Mexico City, Hong Kong and Tokyo. Of these campuses only two offer undergraduate degree programs (San Diego and Mexico City).

Academics
Alliant International University offers a modest number undergraduate programs that provide a quality education. Individuals enrolled in one of these programs will be able to participate in a study abroad opportunity to the Mexico City Campus if at the San Diego campus and vice versa. Students may also enroll in an accelerated program, combining  study for a bachelor and master's degree. Graduate programs are available in a larger number, though enrollment requires that individuals have earned a bachelor's degree prior to admission. Individuals who have earned a bachelor's degree with the Alliant International University System will have ease of access to graduate programs offered within that system.

Programs offered include:

It is important to note that not all programs are offered at all campuses.

Admissions and Financial Aid
Students interested in enrollment at Alliant International University must submit an application as well as transcripts. Students must have earned a minimum of a 2.0 GPA out of a 4.0 scale in order to be considered. Once the information required is received, it will be reviewed and a final decision regarding admission provided shortly thereafter. Individuals applying to a graduate program will also require an essay and letters of recommendation. Individual programs may have additional requirements for admission at the graduate level and should be reviewed online prior to applying.

Financial aid is available in the form of loans and scholarships. Students in need of financial assistance must complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), which will then be used to determine need, eligibility and awards.
