About
St. John Fisher College is a four year private institution located in Rochester, New York. The school was founded in 1948 by the Basilian Fathers and James E. Kearny, an Archbishop in the Catholic Church. In 1968 the school obtained independence from the Catholic church, and though originally a men's college, it became coeducational in 1971. The school has grown in scope and size, currently serving nearly 4000 students a year. The increase in enrollment has increased housing requirements and facilities for the school, including the addition of a nursing school and school of pharmacy. Currently the school is looking to expand further, potentially establishing a law school in downtown Rochester.

Academics
St. John Fisher College offers a number of undergraduate and graduate programs, ensuring that students will be able to fulfill their academic and professional goals through a field of study of their choosing. The school is constantly updating and reviewing programs to ensure that they meet modern standards, and believes in providing the best education possible. Admissions and Financial Aid
Students who wish to enroll at St. John Fisher College must complete the application for admission, which may be submitted online or through a physical copy. Students must also provide standardized test scores and transcripts, as well as a personal statement. Students may also choose to provide letters of recommendation and an activities resume. Once received, the admissions office will review the application and material and provide a final decision as soon as possible.

Financial aid is available in the form of loans, grants, scholarships and work study programs. Students in need of financial assistance must complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) which will be used to determine need eligibility and awards. Students may also be asked to provide additional financial information to ensure accuracy prior to the disbursement of funds. Additionally, certain loan programs will require a separate application.

Athletics
The St. John Fisher College Cardinal compete in a number of intercollegiate athletics through the NCAA Division III. Intercollegiate athletics provide students with a forum for healthy competition that allows them to experience personal and team success while developing skills such as discipline, good health and teamwork which will assist them in their academic and professional careers. Additionally, athletic provide students the opportunity to bond with others, work toward a common goal, and increase school spirit amongst all students as well as faculty.
