Admissions and Financial Aid

Though there are no set requirements for admission, students should note that a high amount of importance is placed on one's GPA and SAT or ACT scores when applying to ESU. Students may be considered for admission regardless of low GPA or test scores if they demonstrate remarkable talent, though this is rare. As a result students wishing to enroll should have above average grades and score moderately well on standardized tests if they wish to be admitted.

Financial aid is available in the form of loans, grants, scholarships and work study programs. Students in need of aid should complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) which is used to determine need, family contribution, aid program eligibility and monetary awards. Financial aid must be reapplied for prior to the start of each academic year due to changing circumstances from year to year regarding an individual's finances. Students may randomly be asked to provide additional financial information prior to the disbursement or release of aid funds as part of newly instituted federal regulations requiring the verification and accuracy of the FAFSA.
