Southwest Technical College was formerly known as Southwest Applied Technology Center and is located in Cedar City, Utah. Southwest Tech is a technical school with a lot to offer their full-time adult students. In addition to lots of career certificate programs, Southwest Applied Technology Center also offers basic adult education for those who are preparing to take the GED exam. The many branches of SWT are designed to help adult students succeed in all of their academic endeavors.
Adult students, who would like to pursue a new career path, or brush up on their current career skills, will greatly benefit from the career certificate programs at Southwest Applied Technology center. The offered career certificate programs include: automotive technology, accounting clerk, business administrative support, computer applications, medical assistant, medical clinical assistant, nursing assistant, IT network administrator, professional truck driving, welding, and many more degree granting courses.
Also offered at Southwest Tech is the opportunity for those who are pursuing their GED to take online preparatory courses. These courses are designed to cover all GED exam material and thoroughly prepare an adult student to take the GED test.
SW Tech offers qualified students with custom training for employers who need additional education for their employees. These custom courses are provided by the ‘Custom Fit’ program, which is designed to provide only the necessary business and industry training to employees.
